Premios Emmy 2013

‘Breaking Bad’, como no podía ser de otra manera, se ha hecho con el Emmy a la mejor serie de drama coincidiendo con la emisión de sus últimos episodios. Al mismo tiempo, ‘Modern Family’ se corona como la mejor serie de comedia al conseguir el premio por cuarto año consecutivo. El protagonista de ‘The newsroom’, Jeff Daniels, ha sido una de las grandes sorpresas al coronarse como mejor actor de drama, y la de ‘Homeland’, Claire Danes repite en la categoría femenina. Jim Parsons de ‘The big bang theory’ y Julia Louis-Dreyfus de ‘Veep’ han sido elegidos los mejores intérpretes de comedia. Pero sin duda, una de las sorpresas y mayor ilusión me ha hecho, ha sido el premio a Merritt Wever, como mejor secundaria por su personaje de Zoey en ‘Nurse Jackie’.

Se podría decir que las que acapararon los premios de mejor serie durante varios años, ‘Mad Men’ en drama y ’30 rock’ en comedia, han sido las dos grandes perdedoras este año. 

Pero si la categoría de comedia y drama no ha sorprendido tanto porque los ganadores han sido en su mayoría repetidores –y si no lo han hecho sonaban fuerte en esta edición-, en la de miniseries sí que ha sido más sorprendente. Gracias a la “trampa” de ponerle a la cuarta temporada de ‘The big C’ el subtítulo de ‘Hereafter’, su protagonista Laura Linney ha podido competir y ganar el premio de mejor actriz en esta categoría. Algo parecido ocurre con ‘American Horror Story’, que al ser cada temporada diferente, se considera cada una como una miniserie. De este modo, James Cromwell se ha alzado con el Emmy al mejor secundario por ‘Asylum’.
